Her Gifts
Just yesterday morning, the winds came blowing ’round
They danced upon the surface, bringing change all around
The wounds from our indifference are scattered far & wide
The oceans stained, forests gone, litter tossed and magnified
Grass is gone, our air is soiled, the temperatures, they’re rising
The Earth She weeps a salty tear, Her seas, all slowly climbing
The mother’s tears, like falling rain can’t cleanse this all away
What will it take to make us see there is another way?
Treat Her kind treat Her well, Mother Earth, her gifts so divine,
Treat Her kind treat her well, Her Mountains so sublime.
Treat Her kind treat her well, the winds of change draw near,
The time is now can you hear?
Hidden in our custom homes amongst all we desire
Surrounded by our need for things we feed and stoke that fire
The Earth’s lament is loud and strong, Her tears have dried away
Our children’s home, a broken dawn, can’t rise another day

Plant the seeds of change in their young fertile minds

The moon and stars shall shine upon us ever more the soul of nature’s design
