Created from the dust she was with Adam oh so fair
He tried to tame her to his will but saw within her stare
Oh no! She’d not submit! Into the night starlit – she’d fly away!
Fly, Fly, Fly away to the deep red sea!

Released she was to go her way a woman strong and free
Maligned by men, as demon, sorcerer and thief
But she defied them all, she would not take that fall – she’d fly away!
The years have turned to centuries and so the wheel still turns
This priestess of Inanna standing on the berm
Men fear her to this day; afraid she’ll win the day and have her say.
